About Melissa (she/her)
My primary specialty is working with folks looking for support while navigating challenging family dynamics, breaking dysfunctional cycles, and trauma. Additionally, I work with couples and families experiencing various issues and needing help bridge the gap that is interfering with their relationship.
Clients I work with aren’t necessarily needing coping skills rather, they are looking for a space for deep reflection and exploration to gain a better understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. I help them be with their feelings and work through barriers that are preventing them from honoring their own needs. Collaboratively, we will identify the connection between the past and present to heal old wounds and end unhealthy patterns.
My styles uses warmth, curiosity, and compassion. I hope to provide a space where clients feel they can be fully seen without judgement. Throughout the therapeutic process, I offer guidance, insights, authenticity, and support so that you will not have to walk through your journey alone.
I am an integrative therapist, as I believe there is wisdom to be found in all therapy models. Some of the models I pull from consistently are Interpersonal Neurobiology, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, and Psychodynamic.
